Directed by Prof. Enrico Tessitore and Dr. Claudio Schonauer, this course program aim at developping knowledge on vertebral sagittal balance parameters applied to cervical and thoraco-lumbar procedures, and at applying key steps of posterior approaches to the CVJ, and of anterior and posterior approaches to the subaxial cervical spine.
The course was held between Geneva, Switzerland, and Naples, Italy. Both cities were selected for the quality and complementarity of their training centers: the SWISS Foundation for Innovation and Training in Surgery (SFITS) in Geneva and Centre of Biotecnologies at AORN Cardarelli Hospitals in Naples.
The 2 days were mixed with theory, practice and exchanges with experienced faculties. The participants could experience the anterior and posterior approaches and place corpectomy cages, plates and prostheses, on anatomical specimens.
Thanks to the variety of sponsors, they had the opportunity to test new equipments in a safe environment.
From one of our sponsors : “Above all, congratulations to you for your involvment in each course. It is always a pleasure to come, you are such a great team! We can see notice it on our smiles on the pictures!“
The focus was on the thoraco-lumbar spine and iliac fixation with case discussion and hands on sessions, at the Centre of Biotecnologies at AORN Cardarelli Hospitals in Naples.
