Augmedi & the SFITS

Augmedi & the SFITS

The SWISS Foundation for Innovation and Training in Surgery (SFITS) has the pleasure to share its collaboration with Augmedi, a Swiss software startup that bridges the gap between traditional medical education and reality with photorealistic 3D models and an AI Learning Engine.

About Augmedi

Founded in August 2023, Augmedi develops medical learning apps for students and doctors. Their apps offer photorealistic 3D anatomical models, highly detailed 3D scans of orthopedic approaches and an own developed AI Learning Engine which tailors the learning content to each user individually. They are working together with esteemed organizations such as ETH Zurich, OR-X, Balgrist University Hospital, and now the SFITS.

By building this startup, Augmedi had in mind to revolutionize Medical Education. Their main mission is:
to overcome the existing challenges in medical education by improving the applicability of anatomical knowledge, reducing learning time, strengthening the resilience of learners, promoting sustainable learning, and increasing the availability of anatomical and orthopedic teaching material.”

Augmedi at the SFITS

During several events organized at the SFITS, Augmedi had the opportunity to showcase their learning tools to our networks of students, learners and faculty. They challenged participants’ anatomical knowledge with a photorealistic 3D models and some animated quizz.

As a surgical training center, we are convinced that this software has a real impact on medical education and on the engagement and learning curves of each individual.

We warmly thank Augmedi team for their trust and collaboration. We look forward to joining forces during our next training events.
